To search a web page (or a page in just about any windows program for that matter) for a particular word or number, follow these instructions:
- If you are searching a web page with frames, first click on a blank area of the frame you want to search (this tells Windows which frame you are about to search, otherwise it will default to the one on the left)
- Click on "Edit" in the top left hand corner of the window containing the page you want to search.
- Click "Find" in the drop-down box
- Enter what you want to search for, eg: "Miami"
- Click on "Find Next" to see the first occurrence of the word you entered.
- Repeat until you get a message telling you there are no more.
Or use a keyboard shortcut:
- Click on a blank area of the frame you want to search
- Press CTRL + F, which will bring up a search box
- Continue as above
If you are looking for a surveyor in a specific area and you are not familiar wth the different town names, search by zip code/postal code, or even use a partial code. Or search by telephone area code.
