The Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS)® was established during the 1980's by a small group of surveying
professionals wishing to advance their craft. More on this and the general philosophy of SAMS® can be found under SAMSŪ History and Philosophy.
Once each year we hold our annual meeting for members across the globe, and discuss such topics as standards, recommended practices, damage avoidance, advanced inspection methods, and legal liabilities. SAMSŪ Membership Roster includes over 1000 surveyors in the US and 16 other countries around the world. |
| SAMS ® shall have three primary classes of membership:
Accredited Marine Surveyors, Surveyor Associates, and
Affiliate Members. The Board of Directors shall have the freedom to establish additional designations pertaining to areas of specialization within these three classes. |
